Deep Core: 99 Floors

Deep Core: 99 Floors is a top-down mining and survival game in pixel art, now in early development (v0.3). This demo contains the first five floors of the Deep Core.

You are a small drill robot, switched on in an abandoned miners’ camp. Around you there is only rock and darkness. Drill your way out, light the tunnels with lamps and push deeper, floor after floor, toward the heart of the world, where the Heartstone waits.

FEATURES

• Five floors to explore: Rootclay Burrows, Stone Hollows, Molten Deep, Kori Caverns and the Adelas Ruins
• Dynamic lighting: lamps, lava, crystals and your robot’s glowing eyes. Rogue robots appear in the dark.
• Drill and smelt four metals: copper, iron, kori and adelas
• Build drill bits, saw blades and full plating sets for your head, chassis and treads, each set with its own bonus
• Keep your energy up: defeated robots drop Power Cells and Batteries, and the coal furnace turns Glow Moss into fresh cells
• Repair your hull with Repair Kits
• 44 hidden chests with rare and legendary modules: Triple Bit, Tesla Coil, Heat Sink, Self-Repair Unit and more
• Four elemental abilities: Light, Thunder, Fireball and Ice. Each robot type has its own weaknesses and immunities.
• Freeze lava with Ice to open a path
• A new world is generated for every expedition
• Automatic save in your browser

CONTROLS

• WASD: move
• Left mouse (hold): drill, attack, open chests
• Right mouse: place blocks and lamps, recharge, install parts
• Q: fire ability / E: switch ability
• 1–8 or mouse wheel: hotbar
• Tab: equipment, pack and crafting
• Esc: pause, save, return to camp

Controller supported: left stick move, right stick aim, RT drill, LT place, X fire ability, B switch ability, LB/RB hotbar, Y pack, Start pause.

Keyboard and mouse or controller required. Not playable on mobile.
